p8050206.jpg The Principal of St Joseph's Business College (known as Komesiolo), Ms Fololeni Fatai,

was very grateful to meet and talk with Siosiua Lafitani from the Vahaope Komiti of 1975-80 'Apifoo'ou Ex-students in July this year.

Ms Fatai explained that they are so grateful to be included in the global network of the Vahaope Project, with their website (kupenga vahaope) that advertises and promotes opinions, educational programs and needs of all Tongan Catholic Schools, comprising their alumni organizations in Tonga and abroad.

This is the first time for us to be approached by a team of Catholic Exstudents with such a fantastic and fascinated project, said Ms Fatai. She continued, "we want to help by providing you with information anytime."

"We don't have enough computer lab as you have seen. We only have one lab at the moment, and it's not enough and very stressful. Siua, we certainly need to have two computer labs, and I hope your global network and project can be able to help with our situation. There is our Library as you can see, it is too old and small for students. They can't stay and do reading inside. Students just have to borrow books and go somewhere else and read them there. We do really need some assistance to minimize such problems. Our ex-students in NZ are the most, and only, active of all, and we're still trying to build a network and relationship with those in Australia and America to do the same. I'm so glad, you can spread through the kupenga vahaope our calling for assistance. It is hard also because I just have started taking over the Principal Position this year." according to Ms Fatai.

St Joseph's Business College was established in 1977 with office courses and syllabus relating to the vocations of computer, bookeeping, accounting, secretary and the likes. It has produced thousands of professional office workers for Tonga since its formation. Some of its students are now working in offices abroad as well. St Joseph's Business College is located at Fasi-mo e-afi, a suburb in the eastern side of Kolofo'ou at the Capital Nuku'alofa.

Only Library [too old and small]

Only Computer Lab [they need another Lab, this is not enough]
